The Lola Chair from Shine by S.H.O.

“I have always been drawn to capturing the essence of beauty in all its forms,” says designer Susan Hornbeak Ortiz of the Shine by S.H.O. Collection’s statuesque Lola Chair. Her unique foresight into the way we feel while seated spins itself into an empowering beauty and confidence that comes through in this regal seat.

The Lola Chair by Shine by S.H.O. is a Modern Throne in the Kingdom of Residential Seating Design.

With a 29″ wide base and 32″ overall depth, the chair’s normalcy in seating is outdone with the grand 55″ height. The top of the chair’s back is cut into small right angles that look similar to the tops of adobe buildings in Santa Fe, New Mexico. But with the front of each of the Lola Chair arms swooping up into sophisticated arches, it remains a fluid, mixed architectural piece that includes both a soft and angular elegance.

The nailheads of the piece may come in a polished nickel, polished brass or an antique brass to suit whichever upholstery is chosen. Unlike normal furnishings, the Lola Chair uses an extremely wide selection of fabrics, leathers, and other upholstery options. Bright colored leather patterns and supple velvets, for instance, come in an array of colors and styles that are separated by tone on the website for easy sifting.

Gorgeous symmetry contained within a variety of fabrics and colors makes the Lola Chair a piece that truly captures the essence of beauty in its many forms.
