Children of the oncoming generations are going to learn about sustainability in a way that will feel like eco-friendly thinking is not an option. Parents are already super-conscious of the food and products their children are exposed to. We’ve featured eco-friendly children’s furniture before on 3rings, Castor & Chouca make some modern, adjustable furniture to take kids from infanthood up through early adolescence. The Pod Cot by Ubabub is another sustainable modern piece for kids that makes me wish I was small enough to fit in it.

What I like about the Calidu Rocking Horse is its sense of fun. Positively helping a child to understand basic principles of sustainability through play is the best way to make the notion stick. The simple outline that looks just like a horse without being a characterture. It is also important to find fun that is not media generated. Wouldn’t it be great if the next generation of children valued traditional handmade goods over video games? I dream on.
