At #NeoConEast: RT London’s Sawyer Sofa

The preview of NeoCon East continues with more seating solutions for the contract market. Michigan-based RT London specializes in college residence halls, student apartments, and other college settings. At the design expo this week, they’ll introduce the Sawyer, their new collection of seating for one, two or three. Designed as transitional pieces, they’re neither strictly traditional or ultra contemporary. Sawyer is appropriate for environments that strive for something in between.

These fully upholstered pieces are defined by their flared backs. Their sloping bent plywood arms can be finished in a choice of 17 veneer overlays. Seat cushions are attached, reversible and zippered for ease of cleaning. Sawyer is a something of a chameleon, fitting into a variety of styles and collections. It’s available in a chair, settee, sofa and ottoman.

RT London, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, was established in 1989 in response to several local colleges seeking durable furniture from a reputable manufacturer. This encouraged them to manufacture a wide range of furniture products for the college and university market. RT London’s offerings have since expanded to other markets such as the government services sector, conference centers and more. They have additional offices and manufacturing in Lacey, Washington and Columbia, South Carolina.
